Ford Mustang Fastback 289 cui „Greeny“

We came across this gem in Belgium, where it was half dismantled, sitting in cardboard boxes, and waiting for its fate. We couldn’t resist the opportunity to revive one of the first-ever Mustangs, so we bought this semi-deconstructed 1965 vehicle and got to work on it. “Greeny” has a 4.7-litre, 289 cui V8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission. After doing an inventory of the parts, we ordered everything we needed from the USA and then completely renovated the car to bring it back to its original condition. A complete disassembly and subsequent reassembly took place, with every single part and screw either precisely renovated or replaced by a new one. From the engine we kept only the block and heads, which we, of course, renovated perfectly. Everything else, from the pistons to the last gasket, was newly acquired. After renovation, the car now exactly matches the production configuration according to the VIN and specifications of VIN door plate. At the owner’s request, the only detail that is not original are the light alloy wheels, which are produced by American Racing. These wheels fit the car’s beautiful metallic Ivy Green paint and simply look perfect. Everything else completely corresponds to the production specifications of the car, down to every last detail due to our demand for uncompromising quality.
